Our history

C. Cowles & Company was founded in New Haven, Connecticut, in 1838. The company grew from automotive trim into the plastic profile extrusions it makes today, produced at a 220,000-square-foot facility in North Haven, Connecticut.

Cowles joined the Uni-Grip family of companies in 2026, and its universal body moldings and edge guards are now made in Upper Sandusky, Ohio.
